Reading Placement Test Overview
The Reading Placement Test is required for students who have a high school GPA below a 2.2 or have earned an high school equivalency diploma only. A student can be exempt from the Reading Placement Test if qualifying ACT/SAT scores are provided to the institution.

About the Reading Placement Test
The Reading Placement Test is a 63 question, multiple choice, reading comprehension test that must be taken online. Please contact ucbaplacement@uc.edu to request the link and your unique username and password for this online test.
Reading Placement Test Scoring
Students who receive a score of 75 and below on the Reading placement test will be required to take the course READ 0099 - College Reading. Your Reading placement test score is not automatically sent to you. If you would like to know your score prior to Orientation, please email ucbaplacement@uc.edu with your full legal name and UCID.
Reading Placement Test
All students are given the option to retake the test one time. You are required to wait three weeks between testing dates.
