Health Care Programs

The Pre-Advanced Medical Imaging Technology associate degree program at UC Blue Ash College is designed to prepare students for application to the bachelor's degree program in advanced medical imaging technology (AMIT), which is offered by University of Cincinnati's College of Allied Health Sciences.

This Bachelor of Technical and Applied Studies (BTAS) in Healthcare Leadership program is ideal for students and working adults who want to move into supervisory, education, or administrative positions within the healthcare industry. The program offers a smooth transition from an associate degree to a bachelor degree, and is suitable for people who are certified in their healthcare field of choice and who have earned an associate degree. An associate degree and a current certification or licensure in your field are required for admission into the BTAS in Healthcare Leadership program.

Dental hygiene is an accredited associate of applied science degree program that is designed to prepare students to work as an integral part of a dental team. As licensed professionals, dental hygienists provide a variety of educational and health care services to the public.

Students have direct patient contact both in the UC Blue Ash Dental Hygiene Clinic and in area clinics and hospitals.

Pre-dentistry is a pre-professional track that consists of courses in biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics which are required for admission consideration by dental schools.

Students will develop self-evaluation skills, an understanding of the Ohio State Dental Board as they pertain to EFDAs, as well as professionalism and ethics in dentistry. At the completion of the program, students will be eligible to sit for the written and didactic EFDA board examination to become a fully registered EFDA.

The Exercise Science program is an associate of science degree designed for students who, plan to pursue the baccalaureate degree in exercise science in UC's College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services (CECH). The career and curriculum expectations for this program will prepare students for careers in exercise science, physiology, and fitness programming.

Health care support technicians are health professionals certified or licensed in multiple practice skills and are qualified to perform tasks specific to their certification or licensure. 

This is a one-year, non-degree program for students who are interested in applying to the following programs: Dental Hygiene, Nursing, and Radiologic Technology. Students in the Pre-Health Professions program may take no more than 30 semester hours as they prepare to meet selective admission criteria for their desired program.

This program prepares students for application to the health sciences baccalaureate degree program in the College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS).

The medical assisting certificate program is designed to prepare students for a career as a health professional.

The AS Pre-Medical Laboratory Science program represents the first two years of the bachelor of science degree offered by UC's College of Allied Health Sciences.

Pre-Medicine is a pre-professional track that consists of courses in biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics which are required for admission consideration by medical schools. 

Nursing, as defined by this program, is the art and science of human caring. It is designed to prepare graduates to care for people across the life span.

Pre-Pharmacy is a pre-professional track that consists of courses in biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics which are required for admission consideration by pharmacy schools. This pre-pharmacy non-degree program is designed for students planning to apply to the PharmD program at the UC College of Pharmacy. Additional coursework may be required for students planning to apply to PharmD programs at other institutions.

The public health program is an associate of science degree designed for students who plan to pursue the baccalaureate degree in public health in UC's College of Medicine (CoM). This program focuses on awareness of emerging issues in public health, the social and behavioral aspects of preventing disease, environmental health concepts, the changing U.S. healthcare system, and the monitoring of diseases in the community

A bachelor's degree program that gets you prepared and clinically competent in the handling and use of radiation imaging equipment to assist with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and illnesses.

Radiography is the use of radiation to provide images of various body parts (bones, vessels, organs) and various body functions (digestion, circulation) to facilitate diagnosis and treatment of certain injuries and illnesses.

Students majoring in Pre-Speech Language and Hearing Sciences prepare for professions to help people who have difficulty speaking and hearing due to a variety of causes.

UC Blue Ash College offers the Associate of Technical Studies (ATS) degree for graduates of Ohio Technical Center programs. This general degree is a good fit for those with a professional certification or credential in job positions where the employer is neutral as to the degree earned.

Pre-veterinary medicine is a pre-professional track that consists of courses in biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics which are required for admission consideration by the College of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University. Additional coursework may be required for students planning to apply to programs at other institutions.

The Associate in Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology is designed to train technicians to assist veterinarians in industry, medical centers and animal hospitals.
