Student Leader & Professional Development Institute

What is SLDPI?

The Student Leader and Professional Development Institute (SLPDI) is an opportunity to build your leadership skills and develop a sense of community at UC Blue Ash. Active participants in SLPDI will:

  • Create personal definitions of individual and organizational leadership.  Participants will also be able to identify their leadership strengths and areas for future growth.
  • Learn about UC’s Leadership Values through experiential activities and understand how to integrate these values into personal and public contexts.
  • Develop and enhance their professional image by focusing on resume writing, networking and interviewing skills.
  • Reinforce the idea that leadership is from the inside out and that everybody has leadership potential.
  • Be encouraged to apply leadership concepts in other contexts including student organizations, classroom participation and career opportunities.
  • Learn from professionals that have experience exercising different styles of leadership.

Complete the six SLPDI workshops to get a certificate of completion and a University of Cincinnati padfolio. Attend at least 3 sessions to earn an invitation to the celebratory Etiquette Dinner on November 13th.
