Student Leadership and Professional Development Institute (SLPDI)
The Student Leadership and Professional Development Institute (SLPDI) is an opportunity to enhance your leadership and professional development skills. It is also a way to develop a sense of community and connection with others at UC Blue Ash.
Active participants in the institute will:
- Examine the basics of leadership (10/22)
- Discover their "True Colors" leadership style (10/29)
- Practice ways to more effectively communicate (10/6)
- Discuss what being a "good citizen" means (10/13)
- Explore 14 traits of a leader (10/20)
- Gain valuable insights into resume writing (10/27) and
- Learn about networking and experiential learning (11/3)
What will I get from completing SLDPI?
A student attending any session(s) will receive:
- A certificate of participation.
- A chance to win UC Swag (1 entry per session attended)
- The opportunity to network with student and staff leaders
- An invitation to future leadership opportunities
In addition to the above, students attending all seven session(s) will receive:
- A certificate of completion

Attending SLPDI also looks great on any Student Life job application (i.e., Student Assistants, Student Orientation Leaders, Student Ambassadors, etc.).
