Student Leadership and Professional Development Institute (SLPDI)

The Student Leadership and Professional Development Institute (SLPDI) is an opportunity to enhance your leadership and professional development skills. It is also a way to develop a sense of community and connection with others at UC Blue Ash.

Active participants in the institute will:

  • Examine the basics of leadership
  • Gain valuable insights into resume writing
  • Learn about networking and experiential learning
  • Explore ways to be more inclusive
  • Discover ways to plan for and get Co-ops and Internships
  • Discuss what being a "good citizen" means 
  • Explore different leadership styles

What will I get from completing SLDPI?

A student attending any session(s) will receive:

  • A certificate of participation.
  • A chance to win UC Swag (1 entry per session attended)
  • The opportunity to network with student and staff leaders
  • An invitation to future leadership opportunities

In addition to the above, students attending all seven session(s) will receive:

  • A certificate of completion
  • A UC Blue Ash Padfolio

Attending SLPDI also looks great on any Student Life job application (i.e., Student Assistants, Student Orientation Leaders, Student Ambassadors, etc.).
