UC Blue Ash College

Student Leadership and Professional Development Institute (SLPDI)

The Student Leadership and Professional Development Institute (SLPDI) is an opportunity to enhance your leadership and professional development skills.  It is also a way to develop a sense of community and connection with others at UC Blue Ash.

Active participants in the institute will:

  • Examine the basics of leadership (9/27/23)
  • Gain valuable insights into resume writing (10/4/23)
  • Learn about networking and experiential learning (10/11/23)
  • Explore ways to be more inclusive (10/18/2023)
  • Discover ways to plan for and get Co-ops and Internships (10/25)
  • Discuss what being a "good citizen" means (11/1/2023)
  • Explore different leadership styles (11/8/2023)

What will I get from completing SLDPI?

A student attending any session(s) will receive:

  • A certificate of participation.
  • A chance to win UC Swag (1 entry per session attended)
  • The opportunity to network with student and staff leaders
  • An invitation to future leadership opportunities

In addition to the above, students attending all seven session(s) will receive:

  • A certificate of completion
  • A UC Blue Ash Padfolio

Attending SLPDI also looks great on any Student Life job application (i.e., Student Assistants, Student Orientation Leaders, Student Ambassadors, etc.).
