UC Blue Ash College Academic Departments
Established at UC Blue Ash in 1999 in conjunction with the opening of Walters Hall, the Allied Health Department offers a variety of programs designed to prepare students to step immediately into a health care career or transition for further education.
The Art and Visual Communication Department includes UC Blue Ash College's Applied Graphics Communication major, a portion of which has been coordinated with the School of Design in UC's College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP).
The Behavioral Science Department houses the academic disciplines of Criminal Justice, Education, Psychology, Social Work and Sociology.
The UC Blue Ash College Biology Department offers academic tracks that lead to several degree options, including further study at UC's College of Arts and Sciences.
The Business and Economics Department features experienced professors with real-world business experience and programs that provide opportunities for hands-on learning. With both associate and bachelor degree pathways, we can get you started right away on a professional career path or transition to UC's Lindner College of Business.
The Chemistry Department at UC Blue Ash offers the educational foundation that prepares you to successfully transition to UC's College of Arts and Sciences.
The English and Communication Department at UC Blue Ash offers courses in preparatory reading and writing, English composition, literature, creative writing, journalism and a variety of courses in communication, including public speaking, persuasion, interpersonal communication, and nonverbal intercultural communication.
The History, Philosophy and Political Science Department at UC Blue Ash College offers a variety of classes during the academic year, covering everything from European studies to business ethics.
The Department of Language and Culture Studies features professors with training in a foreign language, experience in Second Language Acquisition, and experience traveling to the countries that are represented in the different languages we teach. We provide courses that can be used to fulfill a foreign language requirement, area studies requirement or a course elective.

Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science is a vast field of study with many opportunities for professional and personal growth
The Media Communications and Technology Department offers courses in video, web design, audio, photography, multimedia production and film studies. Students who successfully complete our program can continue their education by transferring to UC's College Conservatory of Music (CCM) or College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) for a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree.
The Nursing Department at UC Blue Ash College is proud to be approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing (OBN) and is accredited by the Accreditation Commission For Education in Nursing (ACEN).
Our Veterinary Technology program provides students the opportunity to earn an Associate in Applied Science degree that trains them to assist veterinarians in industry, medical centers and animal hospitals.
