Applying to UC Blue Ash

When a student attends UC Blue Ash College, they get the best of both worlds: small class sizes, discounted tuition, but they can also have the large state school experience, if that is what they are looking for!

No. A student must apply to one UC Campus, either UC Uptown, UC Blue Ash or UC Clermont. If a student would has applied to one campus, and then decides to move their application to another campus that is not a problem at all!

If a student has been accepted to the UC Uptown campus, the student must request their application be moved from UC Uptown to UC Blue Ash. They can make this request by emailing our processor, Nick (snydernr@ucmail.uc.edu), requesting to move their application to UC Blue Ash and their intended major.

If a student has been referred to a regional campus, the student can email their admissions officer, and we can request that the student’s application be moved to UC Blue Ash. Please have the student include their full legal name, date of birth, and new intended major when they email us requesting to move their application.

Application Deadlines:

  • Fall Semester: July 1st  (December 1st for scholarship eligibility)
  • Spring Semester: November 15th
  • Summer Semester: March 15th

Confirmation Deadlines:

  • Fall Semester: August 1st (May 1st for scholarship eligibility)
  • Spring Semester: December 15th
  • Summer Semester: April 15th

Students must submit official copies of their high school transcripts in order to complete their application. A transcript is considered official if it is:

  • A hard copy, printed, signed, and sealed by a high school counselor and either mailed or hand-delivered by the counselor or student to the Undergraduate Office of Admissions
  • Sent electronically via Naviance, ScripSafe, or a similar document organization system

Transcripts should not be sent via PDF, email, or fax.

There is a $50 application fee (non-refundable) to apply to the University of Cincinnati. Students who are eligible for a fee waiver may submit the NACAC Fee Waiver. Counselors must complete and submit the form directly to Cincinnati's Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

We greatly appreciate the opportunity to host groups of high school students. If you are interested in bringing a class or other group of students to campus, please look into scheduling a Group Visit.

Updating a Student's Application

If your student has already submitted their application but has yet to enroll in classes, the Office of Admissions can help them change their major preferences. Students should contact an admissions counselor and they will walk them through the steps necessary to change their preferred major.

After Acceptance

Placement Testing lets UC Blue Ash faculty and staff know appropriate course placement for students. Placement tests can be completed online or at the UC Blue Ash campus in a proctored environment. There are up to three different tests that a student could be require to take: English, Math and Reading.

ACT or SAT scores can be used to exempt students from UCBA Placement testing. Please view our placement testing requirements page to see if your student is exempt from placement testing.

In order for a student to transition to the UC Uptown campus, a student must meet two minimum criteria. A student must earn a 2.5 GPA and a student must complete 24 credit hours at the UCBA campus. Once a student has met both of those criteria, they are able to fill out a change in college form, and transition to the UC Uptown campus.
