Our Mission

University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College (UC Blue Ash College) will foster an inclusive environment and promote equity for our diverse community.

Our Diversity Plan

  1. UC Blue Ash College will develop and maintain systems to identify and communicate trends and opportunities for further growth in the college’s recruitment, retention, and development of diverse faculty, staff, and students.
    1. The college will assess trends and identify opportunities for further growth by:
      1. Developing and maintaining a diversity scorecard.
      2. Conducting and reviewing the results of an annual Diversity Inventory.
      3. Reviewing the results of the biyearly climate survey.
    2. The college will communicate tends and opportunities for further growth by:
      1. Posting and sharing up-to-date reports online on the UC Blue Ash College diversity web page.
      2. Providing faculty and staff with a Diversity and Inclusion update during faculty and staff convocation.
      3. Publicizing selected findings through UC Blue Ash College Communication (information screens, fliers, posters, and/or feature articles or posts).
  2. UC Blue Ash College will foster an inclusive atmosphere that promotes the recruitment, retention and success of diverse students.
    1. To achieve this goal, the college will:
      1. Incorporate diversity, inclusion, and leadership materials and activities in the new student/parent orientation program.
      2. Partner with the Office of Admissions, Veterans Affairs, Accessibility Resources, and the Student Life Office to promote best practices for diverse student recruitment and retention.
  3. UC Blue Ash College will foster an inclusive atmosphere that promotes the recruitment, retention, development and success of diverse faculty and staff.
    1. To achieve this goal, the college will:
      1. Work with Human Resources and other partners to ensure an equitable and inclusive hiring process.
      2. Promote our work in areas of diversity and inclusion in order to make UC Blue Ash College a destination of choice for diverse candidates.
