Chai hosted an Instagram Takeover to talk about her UC Blue Ash experience.

Chai Risma, an accounting major and Honors student, hails from a family rooted in Bearcat tradition. Inspired by her sister’s experience at the University of Cincinnati, Chai was drawn to the close-knit relationship between UC Blue Ash and the Uptown campus.

Her ambition to earn a bachelor’s degree in accounting and become a Certified Public Accountant drives Chai's success at UC Blue Ash.

Beyond her academic achievements, Chai is actively involved on campus. She balances a challenging class schedule with her roles in the UC Symphony Orchestra and as treasurer of the UC Pinoy American Student Organization.

You feel that people really have an investment in your success and how you do as a student. UC Blue Ash provides the faculty and type of community that I was looking for in an education system.

As a participant in the UC Blue Ash Honors program, Chai is encouraged to explore experiential learning beyond textbooks. She broadened her horizons through a study abroad program where she traveled to England and Germany while taking courses in design thinking and sustainability. Additionally, an internship with a local accounting firm provided her with invaluable real-world insights.

“With my goal of becoming a CPA, UC Blue Ash is providing professional support through Career Services, and it’s giving me that academic foundation to really build all my skills.”

Chai is taking the next step in her journey by seamlessly transitioning to UC’s Lindner College of Business.
