Handshake for Students


What is Handshake?

Handshake is a career platform used by the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College where students, career centers, and recruiters come to meet, talk, and share opportunities.

Who may have a Handshake account?

All current students who are enrolled at the University of Cincinnati have a Handshake account. Additionally, all UC alumni can request a Handshake account.

How do I log into Handshake?

Current Students

If you are an enrolled UC Blue Ash student, a Handshake account has likely already been created for you.

  1. Go to the Handshake login page.
  2. Click on University of Cincinnati Login.
  3. Log In with your UC username and password.

If you have never had a Handshake account and would like to request one, please follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the UC Handshake login page
  2. In the upper-right corner, click on "Sign up here"
  3. Complete the form, including your M number, so we can confirm your status and approve your user account. If you do not know your M number, please contact the Registrar's Office to obtain it.
  4. Please allow three to five business days for your request to be processed.


If you have never had a Handshake account and would like to request one, please follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the Handshake login page.
  2. Below the blue button, click "sign in with your email address"
  3. Please allow two to three business days for your account to be processed.


For part-time internships/co-ops, part-time jobs, full-time (post-graduation) jobs and all other positions, post your job in Handshake.

Handshake is a powerful campus recruiting platform that gives you access to a wide and diverse pool of student talent.

Chances are your company has a Handshake account already, but if not, you can create a Handshake account and request to connect with the University of Cincinnati. Through Handshake, you can post jobs, review applicants, message students and more. Access Handshake's Get Started Guide for Employers.

Handshake Homepage

The homepage shows your dashboard, which includes relevant jobs and events based on your career interests. The top navigation bar has tabs for more functions.

It is important to us that you feel comfortable using Handshake. If you need help, chances are that someone else has had the same problem. Here are some ways to get answers:

  1. From the For You page, click Your Name on the top navigation bar. Select Help. Browse through the frequently asked questions and responses.
  2. Visit the Handshake Help Center for answers to many common questions.
  3. Contact the EXCITE Center to work one-on-one to create or update your profile.
