Alpha Phi Omega
Alpha Phi Omega is an international, gender inclusive, service fraternity. It has three cardinal principles: leadership, friendship, and service. Founded in 1925 at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, it has its roots in the Boy Scouts of America and the World Scouting Movement. The Delta Alpha Chapter at the University of Cincinnati’s main campus is one of over 400 chapters worldwide, and was established in 1942. We welcome all UC students (both undergraduate and graduate) from all UC campuses to join us in growing together in leadership, friendship, and service.
What We Do
The Delta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega hosts a variety of service, fellowship, and leadership events that help us make our community a better place, enable us to build meaningful friendships with one another, refine our leadership skills, and advance the goals of our organization at large. To see a list of our events, please visit our website.
Membership Eligibility
While the Delta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega is based on the University of Cincinnati’s main campus, all students who are enrolled in classes at any University of Cincinnati campus are eligible for membership, although specific requirements will need to be completed – and certain fees may need to be paid – to earn different membership statuses. Before becoming active members of the chapter, prospective members must complete a relaxed – but thorough – Pledge Education process to learn about our values and principles. All requirements for specific membership statuses are outlined in our Chapter Bylaws.
Anti-Hazing Policy
The Delta Alpha Chapter strictly prohibits hazing, and follows – and enforces – all applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as all university and national fraternity policies, regarding hazing.
