When did you start at UCBA and what are your current responsibilities?

I started at UC Blue Ash as an Academic Advisor in January 2022. In my role, I work with students interested in healthcare careers and I primarily work with students pursuing UCBA selective admissions programs (Dental Hygiene, Nursing, Radiologic Imaging Technology, and Veterinary Technology).

Before joining UCBA as a staff member, I was a student leader at UCBA beginning in 2017. I was a Student Orientation Leader and Coordinator and a Student Ambassador and the Student Ambassador Intern. It was my experience with these roles and the staff and faculty I interacted with that inspired me to pursue a career in higher education.

What is your favorite thing about working at UC Blue Ash?

My favorite thing about working at UCBA is the students! I love seeing them accomplish their goals and help them to navigate the often challenging and landscape of college.

Also— the Advising office’s potlucks! You will never go hungry working in our office.

Is there a current/recent book or podcast you’re enjoying?

I love listening to podcasts! My favorite one now is That’s Messed Up: An SVU Podcast. It’s a comedy podcast that recaps an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and then discusses the true story the episode was based on. It combines some of my favorite things: podcasts, SVU, comedy, and true crime.

What kind of hobbies or activities do you pursue outside of work?

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé Garret, who is also a UCBA alum, and our fur-baby Rocket! We love seeing movies together, trying new restaurants, and taking Rocket to corgi meet-ups in the Cincinnati area.

What is one fun or interesting fact you would like to share about yourself?

My favorite holiday is Valentine’s Day! Garret and I will be getting married on Valentine’s Day, 2025.
