Biotechnician Assistant
The Biotechnician Assistant continuing education training provides participants with the core knowledge and practical skills required for entry-level biomedical research and careers in biotechnology, all within a five-day bootcamp style. This includes aseptic handling of cell culture, operation of a thermocycler for quantitative PCR, and observation of live prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells under a fluorescence microscope.
As part of the program, participants have the opportunity to take the Biotechnician Assistant Credentialing Exam (BACE) at UC Blue Ash. Those who pass the BACE will earn a digital badge, a verifiable industry-recognized credential, in Biotechnician Assistant, which is developed by Biotility and adopted by the State of Ohio.
