When did you start at UCBA and what are your current responsibilities?

I am a Senior Specialist in the Enrollment Services office (formerly One Stop) at UCBA. I started at UCBA in July of 2018 after working at a non-profit for five years. Our office provides integrated student services to students, families, faculty, and staff in areas including but not limited to cashiers, collections, financial aid, student accounts, student records and registration.

What is your favorite thing about working at UC Blue Ash?

My favorite thing about working at UCBA is the warm, supportive community that exists here. Our campus is the type of place where Dean Lightner learns your name within your first week of work, a student your office has helped brings cookies to say thank you, and you can find so many friendly faces walking down the halls. This campus puts students first; we work collaboratively to resolve problems and empower students through their educational journey.

What kind of hobbies or activities do you pursue outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy being active, getting outdoors in nature, spending time with family, and reading. I play doubles and quads sand volleyball a few times a week. I love hiking, camping, backpacking, kayaking, etc.; anything that gets me out and active in nature! While In nature, I feel at peace with myself and connected to something bigger that can’t easily be explained. My twin 4-year-old nieces bring me so much joy and keep our family on our toes.

What is one fun or interesting fact you would like to share about yourself?

Directly after college, I served two years in AmeriCorps, working in a college access and success program in Lower Price Hill in Cincinnati. I greatly cherished my time in AmeriCorps and credit the program with helping me build valuable skills that I use every day at UCBA. I am also named after my paternal grandma and great grandma, both their first and middle names!
