Lacey McCarthy | UC Blue Ash Business Manager
When did you start at UC Blue Ash and what are your responsibilities?
I’ve worked at UC Blue Ash for 14 years (the last 8 years in Business Affairs). I’m the business manager and my major responsibilities include payroll, financial reporting/analysis, budget formulation and special projects. I also serve as the treasurer for the University’s Staff Senate – I encourage everyone to get involved with University governance.
What is your favorite thing about working/teaching at UCBA?
My favorite thing about working at UCBA is the people! We are blessed to come to a place where we all work every day for the same common goal: the success of our students.
Do you have any hobbies or activities that you enjoy outside of working at UCBA?
You can usually find me attending sporting events for our 9-year-old son while trying to maintain a balance of cheering him on with gusto and not embarrassing him in front of his friends. I enjoy cooking (especially food from back home), spending time on the lake and love nothing more than a last minute road trip with my husband and son.
What is one interesting fact about you (that you would feel comfortable with sharing)?
I’m a proud Cajun girl from South Louisiana. Ask me about my gumbo!
